WORKPLACE was founded in 2002 as a new artist led organisation based in the North East of England, and projects to date include art fairs, group exhibitions and live events. This is the first publication to showcase the organisation. Edited by Workplace and with a foreword by JJ Charlesworth, the book features the diverse practices of 12 emerging artists and aims to contextualise the shift in the visual arts culture of a region that is fast becoming a centre for new talent.
